international spaceweather orchestra - perfect audio spaceweather [ISA1401]
This album is entirely made of sounds from outer space, offered by astronauts communication, radio emission, cosmic noise ... heavily processed by electronic machines and organic philosophy.

Great, mysterious ambient sounds. Good concept, too!

There is no sound in space - thought I should point that out.

okay this one i am particularly fond of. If you are going to put yourself in a form of altered consciousness, and you need something to chill out to after the night has grown long, then do yourself a favor and put on an old "Jetson's" episode or two, turn the sound all the way down on your TV, and put this album on your stereo. Worked for me.... lol...

this is the tunage the space shuttle sets for it's own sake while the crew is sleeping, or even while the crew is dreaming this might be piped through their audio receptors quietly and almost subliminaly....this is the music of distant dark space, where no one can find you unless you activate that cold, hard becon, signalling your location.....these are the sounds of space isolation and doom, being lost in the blackness of constant night and forever stars and deep, heavy darkness.....

Yes, put on that ol' Gagarin's or Armstrong's shiny garment and prepare for an evening of serenity with a nice glass ow wine and a weightless feeling! Soothing, peaceful ambience, nicely and skillfully composed--that's sort of music to be played in Babylon 5 lounges.

Agree on this assessment. Atmospheric-sounding, slow and very peaceful, yet always varied enough to be able to listen without growing bored.
The noises themselves are not interesting per se, but the composer lets them live and breathe.
Reminds me of the background noises during 2001 when the astronauts are trying to deactivate HAL and fixing the malfunction

Intelligently written and evocative of a great sense of mystery, this release should be listened to by all fans of ambient music and of soundscapes.
